Publishing with FrontPage 2000

To publish your Web site using FrontPage, perform the following steps:

Note:The following steps were created using FrontPage 2000. Depending on the version you are using, the steps may be different.

Step one:Ensure that you are connected to the Internet.

Step two:From the Start menu, select Programs. Click Microsoft FrontPage.

Step three:From the File menu, click Open.

Step four:Navigate to, and select the file to be opened. Click Open.

Note:Your Web file will open in FrontPage.

Step five:From the File menu, click Publish Web.

Step six:From the Publish Web dialog box, in the Specify the location to publish your web to box, enter the domain name of the site into which you want to publish your Web pages. Click Publish.

Note:In this example, forexample-domain.com is used.

Note:If you are updating an existing Web page, click to expand Options, then click to select Publish changed pages only. Click Publish.

Step seven:From the Name and Password Required dialog box, enter your Name and Password.

Note:If you are publishing to a Windows account, your Name and Password will be the same as those you use to access your Control Panel. If you are publishing to a UNIX account, your Name will be the same as the one you use to access you Control Panel, but your Password may be different if you have previously changed it. If you do not remember your Password, contact Domainz to have it reset.

Step eight:Click OK.

Note:A series of windows indicating that FrontPage is publishing will appear.

 

Step nine:When you receive the message Web site published successfully, click Done.
