   What is a POP Account?

A Post Office Protocol, version 3 (POP3) account or POP3 Email Account or POP Box is an independent email account based on a standard set of rules. They are typically email boxes that have their own unique username and password. When someone sends email to your POP account (e.g., info@company.com), the mail is saved on our servers. To retrieve POP email messages, a user must provide the correct email address, User ID, and password.

   Add a new POP Account

To add a POP account, perform the following steps:

Note:The following steps assume that you have accessed your Control Panel.

Step one:From the Control Panel, click “Email / Mail Settings”.

Note:You may be prompted to log in.

Step two:Scroll until you see POP Accounts, enter the POP ID, User ID, and Password. Click Change.

Note:In this example, webmaster was used for the POP ID and User ID. We strongly suggest that your POP ID and User ID are the same. POP ID is the portion of an e-mail address that comes before the @ symbol.
